Scanning beats searching

'Search @handle on Instagram' converts worse than you'd think — people must remember the spelling and similar accounts clutter the results. A QR reduces all of that to one camera scan.

The best spots are where customers linger briefly: cafe tables, checkout counters, product packaging, the back of a business card.

Getting your profile link

An Instagram profile address is instagram.com/handle. If your handle is cafe.seoul, the link is https://instagram.com/cafe.seoul.

If you want several links (store, booking page), make the QR point to a link-in-bio page instead. Either way, a single URL QR does the job.

Creating and branding the QR

In the 'Create QR' tab, paste the link as a URL type and pick a QR color that matches your brand — keep the code dark on a light background for reliable scanning.

Use the logo feature to place your store logo in the center; it signals authenticity. With a logo, error correction is automatically raised to the highest level (H), so readability is preserved.

Placement tips that raise scan rates

A bare QR gets ignored. Add one line stating the benefit: 'Follow us for new menu updates.'

Print at least 2×2cm and avoid glossy reflective surfaces. Spots where customers wait 5+ seconds — like a checkout line — work best.
